LOCKDOWN: 3 killed on Lugbe-Abuja robbery attack.


Three hoodlums were reportedly killed yesterday
when they attacked peace village at Lug be in Abuja.
Residents said what started as minor robbery attacked quickly escalated into a full blown attack on the community.
The incident, it was gathered, happened when some teens, in a foiled robbery attack, were apprehended by the residents, beaten and later released.
The boys, thereafter, mobilized other gang members and unleashed mayhem on the community.
It was gathered that three of the attackers were killed, and several other residents injured. Houses and cars were also burnt, while the screens of dozens of other vehicles smashed, residents ran for their dear lives, no sleeping in their homes at night.
Officers from the Lugbe Divisional Police station and those of Rapid Response Squad(RRS) were quickly drafted to the scene and normalcy had returned to the area.
When contacted, the Spokesman of the FCT Police Command, DSP Anjuguri Manzah confirmed the incident. He said investigation was ongoing, while security around the area has been beefed up.
